About
Whether you come to Croft Farm by road or air, you will immediately be aware that you are in the heart of a very picturesque part of England. Situated next to Bredon Hill, between the Cotswold Edge to the east and the Malvern Hills to the west, Croft Farm is surrounded by the landscape that has inspired the music of Edward Elgar and the poetry of A.E. Houseman among others.
Five minutes walk will take you to Revill's Farm Shop https://www.revillsfarmshop.co.uk/ which serves Lunches and Afternoon Tea. If you want a novel reason to visit, buy your high quality fruit and vegetables which, depending on the season, may well have been grown within your circuit.
Croome Park, Capability' Brown's first complete landscape park, owned by the National Trust is near by. The NT have now also bought the manson, and have restored a wartime building with eating facilities.Further away, but within easy reach, is the Three Counties Show Ground near Malvern which is the venue for a wide range of events throughout the year.
The disused airfield next to the strip was the site of wartime radar development. The Instrument Landing System was developed from the work at RAF Defford.
